A hundred years ago, anatomy students would squint from the top row of an oak-paneled lab as their professor dissected a cadaver. They’d hastily make sketches to remember what they saw. Then came the camera, and the ability to snap a photo of an eviscerated mouse to study later in your dorm. And now, cutting-edge technology is reinventing the study of anatomy and physiology (A&P), with virtual labs that provide 3D anatomical models that can be accessed anywhere, anytime.
The author team of Exploring Strategy and Fundamentals of Strategy held their annual workshop on Monday 17th June 2024.
As we celebrate the special occasion of marking the 40th anniversary of Exploring Strategy and reflect on four decades of guiding students and professionals through the intricate world of strategic management, we're thrilled to share exclusive insights from the authors themselves.
The panel discussion focused on integrating sustainability into typically non-green degrees. Jen O'Brien, academic lead for sustainability teaching and learning at the University of Manchester led the discussion. The panel included Dr. Vily Papageorgiou from the University of Surrey, Charlene Gallery from the University of Manchester, Dr. Catherine Heinemeyer from York St. John’s, and Fariha Agha, a public health student at Manchester. They discussed various perspectives on embedding sustainability in curricula and highlighted the importance of incorporating ecological and social activism into education. The session aimed to provide diverse insights into sustainable education practices. The discussion welcomed a broad international audience, reflecting global interest in the topic.
